I'm Celebrating 53 Revolutions Around the Sun!

Today, I am celebrating my 53rd birthday. It’s a milestone that I’m grateful to reach, and I’m excited to reflect on the past year and look forward to the future.

As I look back on the 365 days, it’s been filled with ups and downs. There have been many challenges, but also many moments of joy and triumph. One of the biggest highlights was finally taking an action on a dream:  building this website and social media channels. It is an incredible feeling to see it come to life.

To celebrate my birthday, Adam and I are going to a new-to-us restaurant, and then heading to the local theatre, to see Radio GaGa, a tribute to Queen.  Could there be a more Gen X way to celebrate?  (BTW, if you have wondered why my blog posts are full of space dividers with Xs, that is why!)

As I blow out the candles on my birthday cake, I’m filled with gratitude for another year of life. I’m grateful for my health, my family, and the many blessings that I have been given. I’m also grateful for the challenges that I’ve faced, as they have helped me grow and become a stronger person.

I am excited about the future and have many goals and dreams that I am actively working towards. However, I also understand that life can be unpredictable and bring both positive and negative surprises. At this age, I have come to believe that everything that happens in my life is a blessing, even if I don’t realise it at the time. I am prepared to face whatever challenges come my way and use them as opportunities for personal growth and learning.

  1. Happy 53rd Birthday Maya!!!🥳 You are the most beautiful Baby Doll I have ever known – inside and out!!! You have brought so much love, laughter and joy into my life throughout the years. I am beyond thankful to be your mom!!! I couldn’t be more proud of your many accomplishments in life. I admire your bravery and your courage to step out and take chances. Because of this, you have grown, learned and seen the world. You are my hero for the cancer fight you battled and the painful side effects you still endure. I hope and pray for your health to be restored and that you have many more birthdays to come.
I love you with all my heart!!!
    ❤️Mom
