Fluevog Friday! Mini Dollface in Blue, Cream and Wine
Today, I dug way back into my beloved Fluevog collection and chose one of my dearest pairs – the Mini Dollface in a blue, cream and wine colourway.
To think these shoes were released well over a decade ago is remarkable; they still ignite that same kindling when I look at them – my heart just twitterpates!. Unusually rare, you won’t find another pair like this online – let alone for re-sale! All I could locate was the cached description on Fluevog’s website:
When the Mini heel was first introduced in 2001, John decided all styles with this heel would be named after lover’s nicknames. The Dollface is inspired by and named after the creepy antagonist in Bertino’s “The Strangers”. The Dollface maryjane features straps & buckles, contrast piping, soft Analine leathers in dark colours, a rubber F-Sole, and the iconic 3″ hourglass heel for the ultimate traction, durability and comfort. Just like the movie character, the Dollface is cute and relentless. (Edit — just like me!).
