Cancer Survivors Day
National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual event celebrated on the first Sunday in June in many communities worldwide. It is a day to celebrate the lives of those who have survived cancer, provide inspiration to those who are recently diagnosed, offer support to families, and reach out to the community. The day aims to recognise cancer survivors globally, create awareness about the ongoing challenges they experience, and most importantly, celebrate life.
In this deeply personal video, I invite you to join me on an intimate journey of triumph and resilience as we commemorate Cancer Survivors Day. As a cancer survivor, I share my story with vulnerability and hope, aiming to inspire others who may be facing similar challenges.
My family members, friends, healthcare professionals, and fellow survivors all played a crucial role in shaping my perspective and provided unwavering encouragement during my darkest moments.
Whether it’s indulging in simple pleasures (crocheting), pursuing long-held dreams (such as this, starting a blog and social media networks), or engaging in activities that bring me immense fulfilment (baking), each experience is a testament to the resilience and strength that most often, cancer survivors possess.
Throughout the video, I offer insights and reflections gained from my personal journey. I share the invaluable lessons I learned about self-care, resilience, and the importance of a positive mindset. My hope is that these reflections will resonate, providing comfort and inspiration to those who may be navigating their own cancer journeys.
Ultimately, this video serves as a reminder that no matter how challenging life may become, there is always hope, strength, and support available to help us rise above any obstacle.

You are my hero, Maya!!!♥️
It breaks my heart the pain you suffer constantly.💔
It’s so important to bring awareness to the pain/side effects that cancer survivors can and do experience.
It is my fervent prayer that your body begins to repair/heal from side effects caused from chemotherapy, radiation, anti cancer medications and the damaging medications taken for the side effects.🙏
I love you!!!
